🧘♂️ Offline Classes – 2026–27
Yogasree Iyengar Yoga Center, Ballari
The classes are conducted in accordance with the method of B.K.S. Iyengar, emphasizing precision, alignment, and disciplined practice. The progression of classes is structured to guide the student from the foundational aspects of yoga towards a deeper and more integrated understanding of the subject.
🌿 Beginner Classes
These classes introduce the student to the basic principles of yoga practice as taught in the Iyengar tradition. Emphasis is placed on correct alignment, stability, and awareness in the practice of asana. The use of props is incorporated to enable the student to experience the postures with clarity and safety. The aim is to develop strength, flexibility, and sensitivity in the body.
🔄 Continuing Beginner
Students who have undergone initial training continue their practice with greater attention to precision and steadiness. The asanas are explored with improved understanding, and the duration of holding is gradually increased. The student begins to cultivate discipline, coordination, and a deeper awareness of the body.
🌱 Introduction to Intermediate
At this stage, the practitioner is gradually introduced to more demanding postures and sequences. The focus shifts towards integrating effort with intelligence, maintaining balance between stability and ease, and refining the actions within the postures. The foundation laid in the earlier stages is further strengthened.
🌿 Intermediate Classes
These classes are meant for dedicated practitioners with an established practice. The asanas are practiced with greater depth, precision, and endurance. Attention is given to subtle adjustments, internal awareness, and the harmonious coordination of body, breath, and mind. The practice demands regularity, discipline, and commitment.
🌬️ Pranayama
Pranayama is taught in a systematic manner as per the Iyengar method. The student is guided to observe and regulate the breath with awareness and sensitivity. The practice helps in quietening the mind, improving concentration, and preparing the practitioner for inward observation.
🩺 Remedial Classes
These classes are conducted with special attention to individual conditions and limitations. The use of props and specific sequences enables the practitioner to work safely and effectively. The aim is therapeutic—to alleviate discomfort, restore balance, and promote overall well-being through the intelligent application of yoga.
